JBP’s rules and guidelines.
A full-face helmet and at least a front-suspension MTB with disc brakes are mandatory
- To ride in the park, a helmet that covers the entire face — a so-called full-face helmet — is required. We also recommend upper body protection as well as knee and elbow pads. Protective equipment is available for rent if needed.
- The bike must have at least a suspension fork and disc brakes both front and rear. However, we recommend using a full-suspension bike.
It is the rider’s responsibility to know the rules
- The rider must be familiar with the rules and terms in “SLAO’s Lilla Gröna” and be aware of Järvsö Bergscykel Park’s own rules and guidelines. Pay attention to signage and information boards within the park. In case of violation of these rules, the park has the right to revoke the lift pass.
- SLAO’s Lilla Gröna is available in the park shop, rental, at the lift and online.
- Animals are not allowed in the park or on the lift.
All riding is at your own risk
- It is the rider’s responsibility to choose a trail suitable for their skill level and adjust their riding accordingly.
- Parents or guardians are always responsible for minors in Järvsö Bergscykel Park.
- Only one person is allowed per bike. Equipment such as “Kids Ride Shotgun”, bike trailers, additional seats or similar is not permitted.
- All uphill riding or hiking in Järvsö Bergscykel Park is strictly prohibited.
The park must not be entered after closing hours
When the lift is closed, the area is considered a work zone. Vehicles and staff may be present on the trails. Riding or staying in the trails during non-operational hours is prohibited.

It is only permitted to ride on marked trails. Riding on closed trails is strictly prohibited.
If these rules are violated, the park has the right to revoke the lift pass.
Adjust your speed and show respect for other riders and nature

We want you to ride safely
There are easy trails for beginners and advanced ones for experts. The park is designed to be fun and challenging for all downhill riders. Read the Safety Guide and ensure you have as much theoretical knowledge as possible before heading out — we want you to ride safely!
Accidents can happen, especially when you get tired. It is important that you keep track of your equipment, the trails, and your own ability for the day.
We always recommend doing a few inspection runs to warm up and check trail conditions for the day. Take breaks when you start feeling tired.
Remember that weather conditions can quickly change the state of the trails.
Riding trails repeatedly is a safe way to improve your skills. Booking a coach is also a great way to learn how to ride safely.

Risk and safety regulations.
When participating in a high-risk activity, the risk of injury is reduced by following rules and guidelines. If these are not followed, the likelihood of a serious accident increases.
It is crucial that the rider understands that downhill mountain biking carries a risk of injury. Downhill riding can be physically demanding. Red and black trails require proper jumping and drop technique. There is a risk of injury, permanent disability, and death associated with these activities.
The rider is responsible for ensuring that their equipment is suitable for the activity. When riding in Järvsö Bergscykel Park, the rider must inspect their bike and equipment before each run and after any incident to ensure it is safe before riding.
Even when following guidelines and using proper equipment, there is still a risk of serious injury. All riders knowingly and voluntarily accept such risks, both known and unknown, and take full responsibility for their participation. All riders are responsible for having and using appropriate safety equipment. Järvsö Bergscykel Park does not take responsibility for other participants failing to follow these rules, except in cases of our own negligence.
Järvsö Bergscykel Park reserves the right to deny entry to anyone. Anyone visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs is not permitted to ride and may be asked to leave the area.
Riders caught riding without a valid Bike Pass or on unmarked trails will not be tolerated and may be removed from the park, issued a penalty fee, and/or banned. This also applies to any offensive, dangerous, rude, or antisocial behavior.
The trails are graded by difficulty — green, blue, red, and black — where green is the easiest and black the most difficult. Make sure you have the skills required for the trail you choose. If unsure, start with the easiest green trails and progress upward. Use the trail grading descriptions to find trails suitable for your ability. Red and black trails may contain large jumps, drops, and gaps.
Always make a thorough inspection run on the trails you intend to ride. Trails change with weather conditions, erosion, and continuous maintenance or improvements. Do not assume they will be exactly the same each time you visit. Always look through the trail before riding it.
Children 12 years or younger must ALWAYS ride with an adult during their visit to Järvsö Bergscykel Park.
All riders under 18 must present parental or guardian consent by having them complete our digital risk and safety form. Parents/guardians are always responsible for minors in Järvsö Bergscykel Park.
Read and follow all signage when using the trails.
